Penn's Landing

This is always a relaxing place me and my girlfriend go to relax and unwind after a hard week. Penn's Landing gives you some great restaurants and the most amazing views of the riverfront and the Ben Franklin Bridge. We took the subway down and just walked up and down the river talking and laughing. I really had a great time as I always do when I go down there.

Applebee's

Saw that the Flyers were not going to win it so the girlfriend and I made a quick run to Applebees for their triple chocolate meltdown. For those of you who have had it, you now why we would go so late. For those who you who haven't I highly recommend you try it ASAP.

Just another night

Last night the Flyer's played in Game 3 in the Stanley Cup flyers against the Chicago Blackhawks. The hawks were leading the series 2-0 with the 3rd game being played in Philadelphia. By the end of the night in OT, the Flyers won the game with a nice passing play leading to a goal in the midst of a Chicago line change. It was a good game with many nice goals including one which just crossed the red line into the goal by the flyer's on a power play.

The stocks went up so I'm happy for the most part but something that is still bugging me is BP and that oil spill, but I've discussed that before so I'll change topics. The World Cup is starting soon and I am excited for the start of the most exciting soccer tournament in 4 years. It's like the excitement everyone gets for the Olympics for soccer fans. Go USA!! Of course you gotta go for them.

Lady Gaga gave an interview on Larry King Live last night discussing how she was supposed to open for Michael Jackson and was deeply saddened when he passed away. She also discussed the disease lupus which runs in her family saying that she does not have it. It seemed to be a very touching interview as Gaga opens up about her life.

Until the next time..

Too much to even begin

Sorry I've been MIA for a few days but the weekend was bust as I worked from Friday-Monday. Over the weekend a lot happened including BP failing at plugging the oil leak at the bottom of the Gulf of Mexico. Today BP's shares plummeted 6.5 points as they couldn't begin a new plan off attack until tomorrow and an actual solution that may work (let's hope once again) will take up to 2 months. Can you imagine all of the oil that will leak into the Gulf by then. The oceans will never be the same as this problem will remain for years to come.

In other news, Al Gore and his wife separate after 40 years and the DOW falls 112 points to close around 10050. June is reportedly going to be another volatile month for the stock markets as Europe debt fears drive the markets down due to the failing Euro. I'm out of ideas for now but if you have any let me know!

Until next time..

Once again

The oil crisis continued today as BP announced that the "mud" wasn't doing what they wanted it to do so they stopped pumping it in. I read however that they have resumed it in hopes it may work in the Top Kill scenario they have. Let's hope. On other news, stock went down once again as the last day of trading in May came to an end after a terrible month for the stock markets around the world. Well thats all for today, it's late and I'm tired

Until next time

Today

So today the Dow Jones Industrial Average popped up an impressive 284.54 points and BP has finally come up with a final solution to plugging that leak in the Gulf of New Mexico (we can hope). First lets start with the Dow, WHAT?! I can only say its about time the world stop looking so closely at Europe and the falling euro, which we should know never can fail because if it did, lets face it..DEPRESSION. BP has been struggling its entire way with this oil surge in the Gulf and the Obama administration has only been criticizing and doesn't really have a clue of what to do. This is the first time something like this has happened in the gulf and its frankly hard to get rid of, so this time I can only pray it works and things can get back to normal and the clean up can begin.

Last Night

Flyers won the Eastern Conference Finals and moved into the Stanley Cup Finals. I was downtown in Center Philadelphia when everyone came out of the bars, but the police have been prepared ever since the incident after the Phillies won the World Series in 2008. The police were all mounted on horses and prepared with riot masks which was really funny because all the cops were just on their cell phones. So much for enforcing the law but whatever. I had fun just gong crazy with a bunch of Flyer's fan just celebrating a great night. Go Flyers!!
